Meet the Intern: Izzy Halloran

Izzy Halloran is the newest addition to the Morristown National Historical Park Museum as a (remote) intern. She joined us in October of 2020 for her fall semester. Izzy is a third year student at Oberlin College and Conservatory in Ohio, majoring in Art History and minoring in Creative Writing. Originally from Red Bank, New Jersey, Izzy has always been drawn to the museum setting, fascinated with curatorial, archival, and conservational work. While at the Morristown National Historical Park Museum, Izzy will be researching Indigenous land acknowledgement practices in National Parks, environmental racism, and museum equity, focusing on MNHP's partnership with the Morristown Unmuted project. She aims to gain a better understanding of the inner-workings of a small museum, from interacting with community partners to how the museum’s archives are stored and conserved.

Welcome, Izzy!
